Christian Website Shopping Carts

Shopping cart software provides an accurate order summary including shipping and sales tax calculations while also matching this data up with a credit card payment gateway to process the transaction. Sales information from the shopping cart can then be applied toward virtually every business function ranging from inventory to shipping.
Sales Inventory
We can configure our shopping cart software to handle just about any kind of inventory you're marketing. Everything from shippable items to downloadable information (with successful transaction passkey).
Shipping & Handling Calculations
Entrepreneur magazine recently featured a man who stated that his online sales jumped 400% when he started displaying shipping costs to customers early in the order process. Customers NEED to know what something costs to ship. And we believe the lesson to be learned here is that it's vitally important to gather customer shipping data as soon as possible. Our shopping cart software does this, often by inquiring of a customer's zip code. From that point on, the customer can easily be made aware of shipping costs for any merchandise of interest. Because our software calculates machineable and non-machineable shipping rates, we're able to accurately identify shipping costs to virtually any destination in the USA via the Postal Service or UPS. Additionally, handling fees are attached based on your fees for such services.
Sales Tax Calculations
Sales tax calculations are easily assessed based on a state resident's zip code and location relative to a municipality. Our shopping cart software can track this information for you (or your accountant) for easy monthly sales tax filings.
Two internet merchant account types
The most vital component to online sales is a means to process credit card orders. Although an internet merchant account through your financial institution is preferred, it's not necessary. An alternative like a PayPal merchant account is entirely free (as of this writing), and takes out fees only when transactions are processed, unlike most internet merchant accounts at banks which charge monthly and per-transaction fees.
Internet merchant accounts: Very Secure. Available through your bank, these accounts rely on common payment gateways such as authorize.net, which we accommodate very easily with our shopping cart software. Typically, these accounts require a credit application, monthly fees, and per-transaction fees.
PayPal merchant accounts: Secure. Available through the PayPal payment system, these accounts require only an active checking / savings account to deposit transactions into. Once a transaction occurs, PayPal deducts its fees, and deposits the money to your online PayPal account where you can withdraw it from and deposit directly to your checking / savings account.
Which is better? It's been written that PayPal is typically for smaller ticket items, and bank internet merchant accounts work best for larger ticket items. Our companies use both. On a volume-based estimate, merchant accounts through your bank are probably more reasonable because it's easier to write off the monthly fees associated with these types of accounts. But if you sell few items, market seasonal products or services, or expect a slow turnover to begin with, PayPal makes perfect "cents." Additionally, from a customer's point of view, many people use their PayPal accounts when they purchase online.
From a programming point of view, both types of accounts accept shipping, handling, and tax information. We'll happily visit with you about what merchant account system can best benefit your sales.
